Time is our most important personal asset. Make the most of it.
Nothing matters more than making the most of the time we are given in life. With our loved ones. Our friends. On our adventures. In our workplaces. I know because I’ve lost so many things over time—my baseball career, businesses I’ve started, and most significantly, my first wife, Jeseca, to cancer. My life has been filled with hardship and pain, but I’ve also seen God have His fun with me and create new roads to joy and happiness.
How many people can say they’ve been voted America’s Hottest Single Dad, or have the chance to propose to the woman they love on national television? So I’m learning more and more to let go of things that don’t factor into my happiness. You should do the same. Solomon once said, “all is meaningless…so be happy.” This world is filled with wonders and treasures. Stop and notice them, despite how hard life pulls at you, and you’ll never have a regret.
