About Me

I’m just a simple guy with big ideas and a love for making a difference in peoples’ lives.

I’ve dealt with some of life’s bigger challenges—from losing my pro baseball career to injury to losing my first wife to cancer—but I still believe life is full of joy and opportunity if you’re looking for it.

My Background

As a former All-American athlete and minor league baseball player in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, I’ve trained under some of the best coaches and programs in sports. And it’s helped shape how I approach life. I later studied government and economics at Harvard and strategic marketing at Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson College of Business.

I’ve had a lot of goals in my life, and if any one thing is true about attaining them it’s this:

Aligning your actions with your words is the only way forward.

If your goal is to get in your best shape, I designed a program to give you the actions and tools to succeed.

A Few Interesting Facts About Me

I’ve had the chance to do a ton of cool things in my life. Some of these include playing minor league baseball and golf, inspiring inmates on a speaking tour in prisons across the US and Mexico, supporting single parents through what is unquestionably one of the hardest and noblest journies in life, being recognized as America’s Hottest Single Dad on NBC’s Today Show, and proposing to my wife on ABC’s The View in front of 13 million people.

I’ve had breakfast with childhood idol Vin Scully, and I’ve had lunch with the founder of the Mexican Mafia. I’ve drafted a bill for Congress and volunteered to be the President of the United States in a Cold War simulation while studying at Harvard. I’ve worked out with crooner Tony Bennett and WWE superstar wrestler The Undertaker.

I love helping people.

I do all I can to make an impact, whether that’s being a better husband and father at home, being a better leader and coach for those who follow me, or working harder to improve our community and fight for those who need support.

I try to live with a sense of daring.

I think it would be crazy not to chase my biggest dreams and see what happens. Check out my Castle Fund page as an example. We have one life. Gotta go for it.

I love my family like crazy.

I lost my first wife, Jeseca, in 2007 and it crushed me. But it made me a better dad to our boys, and it showed me so many things about myself and about women—especially how incredible moms truly are. It also led me to my second wife, Lindsey. Now we are a blended family dreaming about a future together most families rarely get a chance to pursue. I care about marriage and fatherhood most of all, and you’ll see that here on my site.

I am a Dodgers fan and always will be.
